What is the Imagination Library?
Every child deserves a library. Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library makes that possible by mailing free, age-appropriate books directly to children each month.
How it Works
Children registered from birth through age 5 receive one carefully selected book every month. By their fifth birthday, they’ll have built a personal library of 60 quality books at home—before they even start school.
The Krewe of Dolly’s role
We’re the local nonprofit partner that funds this program in Orleans Parish. As an all-volunteer 501(c)(3), we raise money to cover printing and shipping costs so that Dolly’s Imagination Library can reach every child in our community, regardless of zip code or circumstance.

Registration is free and takes just a few minutes. Every child in Orleans Parish from birth to age 5 is eligible.
